You play too: click and type right in the game

TL;DR: in twelve games the streamer no longer has to type in Twitch chat to join in. Buttons, keys and a type box sit right on the game screen, and in Free for All your pick stays hidden until the reveal.

  • Higher or Lower: Click Higher or Lower, or press the arrow keys. In Knockout your call stays secret until the card flips, and a wrong call puts you out like anyone else.
  • Type along: Pixel Reveal, Word Rush, Boss Raid and Chat Feud have a type box on screen. Just start typing. In Free for All chat only sees dots, so nobody can copy your answer.
  • Click to vote: Trivia Free for All, Tier List, Hangman and Chatdle: click an answer, a tier, a letter or one of chat's words. In team games your click is one vote, like a chatter's.
  • ChatMarbles: Your own marble: the arrow keys pick the fork, Space fires your item, R resets it when stuck. Haunts and the next-track vote are clickable.
  • ChatClimb: Your dial click now counts as a real vote.
  • Guess games: In Free for All of Guess the Price, Year Guess, Size Up and Map Guess your guess stays hidden until the reveal. In You vs Chat your own chat messages no longer count for chat's side.
  • Small things: Hangman has how-to cards for Secret word, menus and how-tos say how the streamer plays, and arrow keys in Year Guess and Size Up no longer lock your guess early.

ChatClimb: a new game where chat climbs out of the lava

TL;DR: ChatClimb is here. Chat types an angle, the average jumps, and the lava keeps rising. Five worlds, a veto for the streamer, and your game settings now follow your account.

  • ChatClimb: Chat types an angle from 0 to 180, the climber jumps the average, and the lava below never stops. Climb through Cave, Forest, Ice, Clouds and Space, then do it all again by night. Start it from the home screen or with !climb.
  • Streamer veto: Do not trust chat's jump? Press V (or a mod types !veto) and aim the jump yourself. Chat's pick shows as a ghost, so everyone sees who was right.
  • Stream delay: Votes are locked in after the clock, with a short window for your stream delay, so viewers further behind still count.
  • Records: Every run is ranked by height, with channel records and a global board.
  • Settings follow you: Your game setups are saved to your account, so they are there in any browser you log in with.
  • Higher or Lower: Pick how many cards a game plays, or let mods set it with !rounds.
  • Trivia: In You vs Chat the streamer clicks the answer card directly.
  • Under the hood: A round of safety fixes across all games.

Your marble follows you, item boxes, round clips and music

TL;DR: viewers keep their marble in every channel, ChatMarbles gets item boxes and fork routes like LRL, Mini Golf and ChatMarbles end with a clip of the round to download, and every game has music.

  • Your marble, everywhere: Skin, type and colour are saved once and ride with you into every channel. Sign in with Twitch on chatgames.pro/me to pick them without typing.
  • Item boxes: With items on, roll through a ? box in ChatMarbles and type !use to fire what you got. The further back you are, the stronger the item.
  • Forks: Type your route for the whole track, e.g. LRL. Both sides of every fork now hold something, and four new maps have one long split.
  • Round clips: The end screen of Mini Golf and ChatMarbles plays an upright clip of the round's best moments, with a download button. It is made in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
  • Music: Lo-fi music in the menus and games, with its own volume knob. Press M to mute.
  • Mini Golf: Wind is gone. One Twitch prediction runs for the whole round, and you pick the question.
  • Small things: Knockout rounds show who is out, name by name. You choose the games in the next-game poll. Every how-to follows dark mode.

ChatMarbles: ten journey maps, a cinematic intro and marble types that really are fair

TL;DR: the built-in tracks are now ten journey maps with their own looks, every heat opens with a slow flyover, the cup ends on a champion card, and every marble type earns the same share of cup points.

  • Ten journey maps: Every built-in track is now a journey map. Five new ones join the five from last time: Sugar Rush, Harvest Trail, Midnight Heist, Assembly Line and Neon Arcade, each with its own theme. The older maps are retired; their records and hall of fame names stay.
  • Fair types, for real: After the physics update the small sprinter won most heats and the cruiser and bouncer hardly scored. Over hundreds of test heats every type now earns about the same cup points, and the type cards are true again: the sprinter is quick off the mark but tops out first, the cruiser starts slow and is fastest once it rolls.
  • Intro: Each heat opens with a wide flyover of the whole track that glides down onto the starting hopper.
  • Cup over: The end of a cup shows one champion card and one list of everyone's places and medals.
  • On the grid: The card before each heat shows the track record as a big stopwatch.
  • Podium: The camera after each heat sits closer to the podium.
  • Horizon: The ground runs on to the horizon and fades into haze instead of ending at the table's edge.
  • Faster menu: The marbles menu opens right away; the race loads in the background and track pictures appear one by one.

ChatMarbles: real physics and fair marble types

TL;DR: Marbles on Chat is now called ChatMarbles, marbles roll on smooth tracks without random hops or jerks in turns, and every marble type has the same chance to win.

  • New name: Marbles on Chat is now ChatMarbles. Links, commands and stats stay the same.
  • Smooth tracks: No more random hops where two track pieces meet, and marbles no longer jerk or sink into each other in tight turns.
  • Real physics: No hidden boosts: marble types differ only in size, weight, grip, drag and bounce. Air drag, rolling and marble-on-marble bounces behave like the real thing, just a bit faster.
  • Fair types: Over 39 maps every type finished in the same place on average, so pick the one you like.
  • Forks: Marbles lean into the lane chat picked a little earlier and more gently.

Marbles: themes for every track, five journey maps and a Mod Hammer for mods

TL;DR: every track gets a visual theme and a time of day, five new maps travel far across the table, Race Cam 2 is the default camera and channel mods get their own marble, skin 17.

  • Themes: Every track wears a visual theme with a time of day. Builders pick a look when they publish; tracks without one get a random theme that stays the same for that track.
  • Journey maps: Five maps that travel far across the table replace five of the tower maps. Their stats are kept.
  • Race camera: Race Cam 2 is the default camera. The flyover, the photo finish and the podium stay.
  • Mod Hammer: Skin 17 is for channel mods only: smoked glass with a glowing ban hammer inside and a big one floating over it. Type !skin 17. A mod without a sub wears it until they pick something else.
  • Marble types: The cruiser, glider and bouncer were a little too good at running away from the field once in front. They are closer to the classic now, so a leader gets caught more often.
  • Lobby: The !join names pile up beside the game menu and stay there.
  • Games: The loading circle stays up until a game is ready, and the Dashboard button opens the pause menu instead of ending the game.
  • Mini Golf: A ball under a hoop is drawn under it, not on top of it.
  • No more flicker: On some tracks the whole picture could vanish for a frame near the top, and the glass walls flickered with holes. The rounded tip of a wall end was built inside out; it is not any more.
  • Marbles menu: A roomier menu: one strip for who joined, a card per marble type and the skins on a paper card. It fits 1080p without scrolling.
  • Chess: Big coordinates round the board, a popup when it is your turn and a 30 s turn timer by default.

Marbles: a second race camera, no stuck marbles on Pop Rocks

TL;DR: press 6 for Race Cam 2, turn teams off right in Adjust, and a bumper on Pop Rocks no longer traps marbles against the wall.

  • Race Cam 2: A second race camera is in the camera menu: press 6 to try it.
  • Teams: The Teams row in Adjust has an Off option.
  • Pop Rocks: Two turned bumpers stood so close to the wall that marbles got wedged behind them. Turned blocks and pegs now always leave room on both sides, on every track.

Marbles: a calm race camera, glass walls and a new track builder

TL;DR: one steady camera that keeps the leaders in view, frosted glass walls you can see through, a bigger recap after each heat and a track builder that fills the screen.

  • Race camera: One calm camera follows the leading pack instead of cutting between angles. It films straights from the side and turns around spirals, and the track the marbles already passed fades away behind them so nothing blocks the view.
  • Glass walls: Every wall is frosted glass on a clay foot now: you see the marbles through a wall instead of losing them behind it.
  • After each heat: The recap is a pile of big stickers: the whole heat in one scrolling list, the vote for the next track and the awards. The podium shot shows the finish behind it. It shows after every heat, also after Wait or End heat now.
  • Photo finish: The winner of a close finish gets a green ring.
  • Forks: Marbles steer onto the lane chat picked before the track splits.
  • Track builder: One full-screen builder with its own camera, a flat view of the whole run, arrows to build forward and a quick test that drops five marbles wherever you point.

Mini Golf: rate a hole once your ball is in, and more time between holes

TL;DR: finish a community hole and rate it with !rate 1-10, like the marble tracks. The scorecard between holes stays up for 20 seconds.

  • Rating: Once your ball is in, !rate 1-10 counts for that hole until you finish the next one, so stream delay never costs your vote. In Chat ball games everyone rates once the Chat ball is in.
  • Between holes: The scorecard stays up for 20 seconds, time enough to rate. The streamer's Continue button still skips it.
  • Magnets: The magnet sits in the middle of its circle now, right where it pulls the ball.

Mini Golf: no water strokes, a clear stroke limit and mod messages with !msg

TL;DR: water only sends you back, every hole says how many strokes you get, and mods pick what shows on screen.

  • Water: A splash sends the ball back and that's it: no extra stroke.
  • Stroke limit: Each hole starts with a sticker saying how many strokes you get, and the scoreboard keeps it next to par.
  • Out of the hole: A ball that is out without sinking gets a skull and its strokes in the standings, and no longer shows up next to the cup.
  • Course builder: The goalie turns vertical or horizontal with one click.
  • Mod messages: Only a mod's !msg shows over the game now, so shots, guesses and chatter stay in chat.

Marbles: 18 long maps and new toys for the Fallen Crew

TL;DR: two-minute marble races packed with obstacles the fallen marbles can set off, fairer marble types and easier golf test shots.

  • Long maps: 18 new built-in tracks that take about two minutes, with obstacles on nearly every straight.
  • Fallen Crew: Seven new obstacles to set off: cannons, rockfalls, pop-up posts, crushers, drawbridges, springboards and sweepers. Conveyors run backwards and fans blow harder when the crew picks them.
  • Marble types: Cruiser and Glider lose a little top speed, and Bouncer bounces less and stays on the track more often.
  • Mini Golf: In the course builder you aim a test shot by dragging the ball.
  • WhatSong: WhatSong and the Spotify connection are gone.
  • Login: If Twitch can't be reached for a moment, you stay logged in.

Your feedback, round two: team marbles, golf sound and a Halloween look

TL;DR: dozens of fixes from your play-tests, bigger lobbies that stay readable, Halloween week and an easier login.

  • Marbles: Teams lock and balance at the cup start, a team score row, fall reports and race items, a !me beam, a fork banner about 5 s ahead, coloured name tags, a live track record celebration, full final ranks and cups up to 100 tracks.
  • Marble looks: VIP Diamond and Pumpkin skins, a stream-size HUD, a flyover title card, a smoother race camera and a podium that fits the frame.
  • Mini Golf: A sound panel with a softer crowd, one ace replay per hole, a compass, race place points and hidden ball looks.
  • Backseat Apocalypse: Longer card votes so chat can read them, a reworked level curve and trimmed Transfusion, Vacuum and Motor cards.
  • Every game: A compact join list for big lobbies, mod messages as bubbles over the game, a Chatdle end screen with every word and who typed it first, and a fixed 25 s trivia tiebreaker.
  • Halloween: From 24 October to 1 November the site dresses up on its own.
  • Login: A Select all box for the optional Twitch extras, and a short engine hiccup no longer logs you out.
  • Safety: Practice chat can no longer run viewer commands, and the rankings stay fast under load.

ChatMarbles: knockout cups, record ghosts and a real broadcast

TL;DR: Marbles gives chat more to do in every heat, looks and sounds like a TV race, and has new pieces, a smarter library and Twitch extras.

  • Chat joins in: A live fork meter with the last names on each side, channel emote puffs above your marble, a bench for late joiners, !color and !trail looks, and "back for night 12" or rookie tags.
  • Named on screen: Heat awards (biggest climber, comeback, closest finish, survived the blender), one results line per heat in chat, a grid card with the favourites and a rival duel.
  • Race HUD: A running-order strip with every marble, a big home counter, Home stretch, a lane verdict after each fork, a cup recap with arrows and can-still-win marks.
  • Camera: Calmer cuts that still catch lead changes, forks and big falls, a flyover of each new track, a hopper pan, a leader picture-in-picture, a split screen at forks and a clay podium.
  • Records: The record run races along as a see-through ghost or a glowing line. Records now belong to the track's current shape, and skipped heats never set one.
  • Cups: Knockout cups (everyone who falls is out, plus the back quarter), Quick cup, Full GP, Top rated, Season cup, saved cups, Restart heat and your own countdown and results timing.
  • Join rules: Followers only, minimum account age, subs first in the last heat and a marble limit per heat with a queue.
  • New pieces: Hurdles, an overtake hairpin, sand, a turntable, a trampoline gap, a hammer kicker, a stair lift and a catapult, plus the new Sports Day track.
  • Track builder: Tests find spots where marbles get stuck, show how the field spreads and give every track a par time. The builder speaks five languages and tracks never expire.
  • Library: Top sorts by real races and ratings, search by track or builder, builder pages, Review night for fresh tracks, and builder credit on stream.
  • Look and sound: Crowd noise that follows the battle, finish beeps, a finish arch with a clock, dust, sparks and confetti, contact spots on low settings and glass marbles on Ultra.
  • Twitch extras: Optional heat Predictions, channel-point looks (gold name tag, confetti colour, music style) and a next-track vote with A, B or C.
  • Speed and fixes: Finished marbles rest, low-detail marbles on Potato and Low, an offer to lower graphics after a slow heat. Stuck marbles no longer count as falls, and pause keeps the photo finish.
  • Backseat and golf: Backseat's camera stays locked on the van. In Mini Golf a ban parks that viewer's ball.

Backseat gets nights and bosses, Mini Golf gets a Weekly Cup

TL;DR: Backseat Apocalypse has nights, bosses, a crew and a new look. Mini Golf has points, a Weekly Cup and endless holes.

  • Backseat look: Ice cream van HUD, bigger alerts, calmer moonlight on water.
  • Backseat nights: Night goals, weather, a Tonight vote, big events. Easy, Normal or Apocalypse.
  • Backseat bosses: The Butcher, boss modifiers, a freezer chest jackpot, new special zombies.
  • Backseat builds: Card rarity, Skip, rerolls, weapon fusions, van parts that break.
  • Backseat crew: Kick votes, a roof rack, speech bubbles. Once a night chat can type zombie words to save the van.
  • Backseat map: A bigger map, new each run, a Weekly map with its own board, the Grand Tour.
  • Backseat + Twitch: Optional Predictions and channel-point perks.
  • Golf scoring: Points pick the winner. Quick 3, 9 or 18 holes with an honest time estimate, a stroke cap, up to 100 players.
  • Weekly Cup: Seven new holes every Monday, the same for every chat.
  • Endless Desert: Generated holes that carry on per channel.
  • Golf extras: Colour teams, awards, ace replays, channel records, a monthly season, /golf/stats.
  • New holes and pieces: Windmill, turntable, goalie, cannon. Balls teeter on the lip.
  • Builder and library: Clear check, mirror, autosave. Chat rates holes with !rate 1-10, plus packs and remixes.

Game modes, pause everywhere and smoother marbles

A big one: every game now tells you how it can be played, most games learned a new way to play, and nothing runs away from you when you tab out.

  • Game modes: Every game menu starts with a mode bar: You vs Chat, Team Up or Free for All. Games with one way to play show a badge instead.
  • Free for All: Every chatter plays for themselves in Price Guess, Year Guess, Size Up, Map Guess, Chat Feud, Word Rush and Tier List ("Think like chat"). First guess counts, you play along from the dashboard, podium at the end.
  • Team Up: Survival for Price, Year, Size Up and Map Guess: chat's middle guess has to land close enough, three lives. Meemorie solo against par, Chat Ships against a hidden fleet.
  • You vs Chat: Hangman with your own secret word, Trivia where you answer against chat's top vote, and Mini Golf with your ball against the Chat Ball.
  • Chat vs Chat: The two-streamer room now also has Pixel Reveal, Higher/Lower, Chatdle, Boss Raid, Chat Feud, Chat Ships, Word Rush and Hangman.
  • Pause in 18 games: A game pauses when you tab out or open the end dialog, and waits for your Resume. Mods can use !pause and !resume.
  • How-to cards: Every game has a short how-to card with a mock-up, and the help texts got a clean-up.
  • ChatMarbles: Walls are one smooth piece of clay, marbles really fall into holes, a marble that drops onto a lower lane races on, and landing in the finish basin counts. New broadcast race camera, a names panel with calmer name tags, more sound, and fallen marbles can vote to make a hazard run wild.
  • Sign-in: The login card lists every Twitch permission with what it's for. Untick one and you see what you'd miss.
  • New home for visitors: Logged-out visitors get the Channel Surf landing with real clips.
  • More content: Bigger pools for Chat Feud, Price Guess, Map Guess, Tier List and more, and games remember what your chat has already seen.
  • Fixes and languages: All 27 fixes from the last play-test evening, and a wording pass across German, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
