ChatMarbles

A 3D marble race your chat actually drives. Viewers type !join to get a marble, then steer it at every fork by typing L or R. A cup runs up to nine heats on different tracks, F1-style points decide the winner, and every heat is written into an all-time hall of fame.

How a round works

  1. 1

    Chat joins the grid

Viewers type !join or !play to get a marble. Up to 250 marbles per race, and latecomers simply start in the next heat.

  2. 2

Everyone picks a marble and a skin

!marble chooses one of five physics types โ€” Classic, Sprinter, Cruiser, Bouncer or Glider โ€” and !skin picks the look. Subscribers get four extra skins that shine and wear a crown.

  3. 3

Eight-second countdown, then the gate drops

The hopper fills, the marbles settle, and the gate opens. The race runs as real 3D physics in the streamer's browser.

  4. 4

    Chat steers at the forks

Typing L or R sets your lane, and the pick sticks until you change it โ€” so stream delay never costs you a corner. !reset puts a stuck marble back on the track.

  5. 5

    Points, then the cup

Each heat pays 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 for the top ten and 1 point for every other finisher. After the last heat the standings decide the cup winner.

What viewers type in chat

!join / !playGet a marble. Works mid-cup โ€” you start in the next heat.
L / RPick your lane at the next fork. Also left, right, links, rechts. Sticky until you change it.
!marble <name>Pick your marble type: classic, sprinter, cruiser, bouncer or glider.
!skin <name>Change your look. 10 free skins, 4 more for subscribers of the channel.
!reset / !respawnPut a stuck marble back on the track, for a time penalty. 15-second cooldown. A marble that fell off stays out until the next map.
1 / 2 / 3Fell off? You are in the Fallen Crew: vote which numbered obstacle ahead of the field goes wild.
!meHighlight your own marble so you can find it in the pack.
!rate 1-10Rate the track you just finished. One vote per viewer, changeable.
!stats / !recordYour all-time card, or the current track's record holder and time.
!team redWhen teams are on: pick red, blue, yellow or green (1 to 4 work too).
!leaveSit out the rest of the cup.

Streamer settings

  • Heats and field size

One heat per track, 1 to 9 tracks per cup (5 random built-in tracks if you pick none), and 1 to 250 marbles (default 150). Mods add tracks with !track and set the field with !maxplayers.

  • Your own tracks

Ten built-in tracks, plus anything from the community library or the in-browser track builder. Mods load one with !track <id>, up to nine per cup.

  • Play along

!playalong on gives the streamer their own marble in the field, so you race your chat instead of only watching it.

  • Records that stick

Track records, win streaks, cups and podiums are kept forever and announced in chat the moment a record falls.

  • Teams

Mods switch on 2 or 4 teams with !teams before the cup. Viewers pick one with !team or land on the smallest. A team scores with its best marbles only, as many as the smallest team has, so crowding one team gains nothing.

  • Medals

The top three of every heat win gold, silver and bronze. Medals stay on the name tag for the rest of the cup, and the cup ends with a medal table.

Questions streamers ask

How many people can race at once?

Up to 250 marbles in one race. The default field is 150, and a mod can change it from chat with !maxplayers.

Do viewers need an account?

No. Everything happens in Twitch chat โ€” viewers never sign up, install or log in anywhere. Only the streamer logs in with Twitch.

Does stream delay ruin the steering?

No. A lane pick is sticky: typing L or R sets your lane for the next fork you reach and stays until you change it, so a few seconds of delay cost you nothing.

Can I build my own track?

Yes. The track builder runs in the browser at /trackbuilder, and published tracks land in the community library at /tracks where any streamer can load them.

What decides the winner?

Cup points across all heats: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 for the top ten of each heat, one point for everyone else who finishes. Ties break on the best single-heat finish.

Is it free?

Yes, the whole site is free. Subscriber skins are cosmetic and use the viewer's existing Twitch sub in your channel.
