Boss Raid
Boss Raid
One big boss, one shared health bar, and five minutes on the clock. Your chat hits the boss by typing the word on screen, and blocks its attacks by typing the counter word it shows before they land. The more of chat that blocks, the less damage everyone takes. Win together, or watch the boss get away.

How a round works
- 1
Pick a boss
Scorchbelly the dragon, the Kraken Queen, the Mecha Toaster or King Gloop, or a random one. Easy, normal or hard.
- 2
Type the word to hit
A new word comes up every 7 seconds. Every chatter hits once per word, and the last word still counts while the next one is up.
- 3
Counter the attack
When the boss winds up, it shows a counter word, like shield against Fire Breath. Type it before the attack lands: 6, 8 or 10 seconds, set in the menu.
- 4
Block together
Chat takes damage for every active raider who did not counter. If three quarters of them block, the boss staggers and takes a big hit.
- 5
Beat it in five minutes
Chat wins when the boss's health is gone. At half health it gets angry and attacks harder and faster. If time runs out, it gets away.
What viewers type in chat
zap | The word on screen. Every word hits once per chatter, and 1 hit in 10 is a critical hit. |
shield | The counter word the boss shows when it winds up. The English and the German word both work. |
!join | Optional: sign up for the raid in the menu. Typing a word counts as joining too. |
!bossraid | Mods: open the setup. |
!boss kraken | Mods: pick the boss, the difficulty (easy, normal, hard) or the counter time (6, 8, 10). |
Streamer settings
Four bosses, twelve attacks
Each boss has three attacks with their own counter words: jump the dragon's tail, roll away from the kraken's tentacle, catch the toaster's toast.
Grows with the raid
The boss gets more health for every raider, and more again when people join mid-fight, so a small raid and a big raid both get a real fight.
Built for stream delay
Words overlap, every attack is announced seconds before it lands, and nobody has to be first: every chatter can hit every word.
Top damage
Chat wins or loses together, and the top damage list shows who hit hardest. The final blow gets a mention.
Questions streamers ask
Do viewers need to join?
No. Typing the word on screen is enough, and there is no player limit. Signing up with !join in the menu only tells the boss how many raiders to expect.
How does blocking work?
When the boss winds up, type the counter word it shows. Every active raider who does not counter adds to the damage chat takes. If three quarters block, the boss staggers.
How long is a fight?
Five minutes at most. Chat wins when the boss's health reaches zero, loses when chat's health does, and the boss gets away when time runs out.
What changes with the difficulty?
The boss's health per raider, how hard it hits and how often it attacks. Hard attacks every 11 to 18 seconds.
Can we play in German?
Yes. The words come in English or German, and every counter word works in both languages.
